The Mediterranean is much more than a sea enclosed between three continents, it is a key place that is home to Europe's greatest biodiversity in a constant and delicate balance that we must strive to preserve. We bathe in its waters, it is our source of food and our economic engine, but do you really know it?

This teaching unit is part of the educational program "The Mediterranean and its coasts", which brings us closer to this sea and the characteristics that make it unique: its water, its climate, its biological richness and its historical legacy.
This program consists of a total of five books for students in Secondary Education (12-15 years) and for teachers who wish to introduce their students to the study of marine sciences.
